Carbon Sequestration

How to reduce C02 in the atmosphere? Biodiverse Farming offers a powerful solution with enormous co-benefits.
If all of the world’s arable land were converted to Agroforestry we could sequester all of the C02 emitted since the industrial revolution in less than 50 years.
Biodiverse farming takes carbon out of the atmosphere and puts it into plants. From there it can be locked up in the soil, buildingsclimate and the bodies of other living things
Carbon is the essential element that makes up the bodies of living things. Biodiverse farming systems take carbon out of the atmosphere and puts it into plants. From there the carbon can be locked up in the soil, in buildings and furniture, or transferred into the bodies of other living organisms who eat those plants.
Biodiverse Farming systems can reach a stage of growth and maturity much more rapidly than if an ecology is left to natural succession. They can enable C02 to be sequestered at increased speed.
More soil, more plants, more animals = more available fresh water and more food both for human beings, other plants and animals.
By bringing carbon out of the atmosphere and into the bodies of living things we can make more resources available to life as a whole. More soil, more plants, more animals = more available fresh water and more food both for human beings, other plants and animals.
The CBCF work’s with large scale farmers to design Biodiverse Farming systems which enable enormous amounts of carbon to be taken out of the atmosphere.
Sequestering C02 in this way can enable us to plant a vast number of new trees, increase biodiversity and make water more available.
